The Christian-Doppler-Larbors enables cooperation between science and industry that is reasonable, useful and fruitful for the partners involved as well as for society.

The collaborations are usually structured in the following way: The research group develops basic knowledge, which is incorporated into the development of new products and processes at the company partner. During the entire cooperation there is a permanent exchange of knowledge, experience and questions between the partners. This type of research cooperation differs fundamentally from contract research.

In the run-up to the formal application, the CDG General Secretariat offers information and advice.

The application for the establishment of a CD Laboratory is drawn up by the scientist in coordination with the company partner and submitted to the CDG General Secretariat. The laboratory management represents the respective university or non-university research institution.
